Manoj Singh felt that it was better to be his own boss than to work for someone else. So he moved to Mumbai with his family and bought an auto rickshaw. Because he owns his rickshaw, Manoj makes on average 500 rupees ($8.14) a day. People who rent rickshaws, he says, make about 300 rupees ($4.89) a day.
